Ding Rongjun, Academician of CAE,Investigates IntelliMicro: Empowering Medical Innovation with Science and Technology, and Helping to Build a Healthy China

On May 16, 2025, Ding Rongjun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Scientist of CRRC, and Dean of the School of Mechanical and Transportation Engineering of Hunan University, visited IntelliMicro for research and guidance, gained an in-depth understanding of IntelliMicro’s innovative practices in the research and development of high-end medical devices, technology achievement transformation, and industrial development.

During the investigation, the Company provided a detailed report to Academician Ding and his entourages regarding the Company’s basic situation, project progress, and future development strategy. Academician Ding visited the Company’s GMP production workshop, focusing on key projects and products such as the “IMIE intelligent visual implant”, “multi-functional intracranial pressure monitoring system”, and “rebound tonometer”, and engaged in in-depth discussions with the personnel of IntelliMicro about the technical principles, production processes, and clinical applications of the Company’s series of projects and products.

Academician Ding highly affirmed the development achievements of IntelliMicro in the field of medical devices, stating that IntelliMicro has made significant progress in technological innovation and product transformation, setting a good example for the industry. Drawing from his own experience in the localization of core components in rail transit, he encouraged IntelliMicro to continue in-depth research in niche fields such as neuro-modulation, ophthalmology, and life monitoring, driving growth through technology, winning the future through innovation, and building a complete ecosystem of “R&D - transformation – industry”. He encouraged IntelliMicro to continue adhering to the spirit of innovation, fully leverage its advantages, continuously explore in the frontiers of medical technology, and convert more advanced technologies into high-tech medical device products, so as to contribute to safeguarding the health and well-being of the people and improving the health level of all humanity.

At the same time, both sides also had in-depth discussions on how relevant provincial government departments can empower high-quality development of enterprises and support their scientific and technological innovation under the background of the new era. They unanimously agreed that the government should strengthen forward-looking planning and provide focused support in areas such as policy assistance and financial investment for high-tech enterprises and sunrise industries that have outstanding innovation capabilities and broad development prospects.
